On a Holley 4150 can the mech fuel pressure gauge be mounted @ the inlet or the return end of the fuel log?

With a mech fuel pump will the reading @ the gauge be a pulse like pattern & not a stable reading like fuel ing would be ?

    Thanks , ick

The fuel pressure gage should be mounted ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT,,, usually in the cowl area where the driver can read it at speed.... using a braided stainless steel line.... due to the fire hazard..... and the pick up point should at the carb just before it goes into the carb inlet..... I am amazed at the guys who have a fuel pressure gage that they can read only at idle, and looking at it with the hood up,,,, when you are driving , the fuel pressure goes up and down according to conditions... and what is critical is the WOT reading,,,, while the car is actually pulling.... hard to get a reading under those conditions.....
