With a 3:55 gear & leaving at 3800 on the trans brake so far 1.300 60 ft 144.7 / 9.18 et Going to 3.90 gears and leave 5000 next What do you think it will run ?
As long as it hold traction I see 8.90s......what rpm was the shift and through the top end. My car isn't an apples to apple . But 4.30s shifting 6500,6500 goes through the top end 67/6800 ........I would guess if i went 7/7 on the shift it would roll through the top end right on 7k
Ben , 6700 through the trap 7400 2-3 Small tire drag radial 275 tire . 3:55 Gears . 3:90 going in this weekend.it The engine makes power over 7000 rpm
I saw some videos on FB and that is a very impressive car. Does it have the same Stage 4 487 engine that you recently dynoed (837 hp), except now with fuel injection or is it a completely different 487? Either way this car is representing the Buick camp extremely well. Great job and good luck with the new gears.
That is a badass ride!! Saw it in person at the Nationals! While I am not Nick,I am for certain that is the same engine that was dynoed from speaking to Brandon. They have big plans for the car!
Being that's a 28 tall tire that gear change I would expect to see + 500 rpm on top end. Thanks for the help with the crank trigger over the winter, it works spot on
I'm not Bruce (he is BQUICK) but thanks for response. I couldn't imagine that there were two 800+ hp 487s out there. Once again, awesome job with that engine. Who owns the car? On top of being very fast, I love the way the car looks. It sits just right.
Yep sorry , should have had my readers on when typing lol . Previously owned by Tom Righter now Brandon Decordre
475CI 13.8 comp.solid flat tappet .630 lift TE stage 2 heads no trans break 1.273 60ft 9.30@142 unfortunately I never got to race it in some of that good mineshaft air before I sold it. Wish you all the best of luck with it! Tom
Thanks for posting this here Nick. It's unfortunate how many days pass with no activity in this section sometimes. Tom, Is that car a real GS?
