I had 1” dropped springs built for my Invicta’s front end, and installed them years ago. Right now, the car is still a shell on the frame: a front seat/dash is in, but nothing on the front end as far as sheet metal, inner fenders, ‘core support’, bumper, windshield. The block (empty), heads/intake, trans and steering box are all that’s installed in front of the firewall. My question; the springs have the upper A-arms against the frame. You can’t budge the car off ‘topped out’, not with 2 people bouncing on the front crossmember. Does that sound like the springs may have been spec’d wrong and are too tall, or is it simply a case of ‘wait & see when all the front end weight is on it?’
That's normal. You won't see them move until the engine is in. You gotta figure they are likely 400 lbs/inch or more each.
