With a little looking over it was determined that the motor did not need to come out of the frame pads :beer :beer Anyway after a few adjustments it was driven back to Olathe Kansas on its own!!! :beer :beer :TU: :TU: I do own an awesome set of tools!!!! :bglasses:
that is great .... glad to see it get goin. when he came down and test drove that motor before he bought it. we took my lesabre out on 69 highway and he wasnt shy about findin the floor with th gas pedal .... that motor pulled the ol lesabre vert up to speed respectfully .... im sure with it in the lighter car, he is sportin a big ol grin (among other things...LOL) when his foot hits th floor. did he shorten the tranny he got from me or use a different one?
We never used either part they both are still here the engine on the stand and the trans on the floor.

pictures Mike my camera wasn't a digital one but hopefully I can get some scanned and posted that way?Not sure .Still new to the computer thing. I think Freedster got some good pictures so hopefully he'll have some posted soon. Let us know how the engine is coming for your car!:TU: Jeff Bullock
It's ALIVE!!! Yes, it made it back home under its own power. I even laid a little rubber by accident coming back into town when Jeff and I pulled up to a stoplight.   Here I thought I toasted it completely, and all this time it was just really bad timing. I feel really lucky, and ever since about 2M on Saturday, I've had this strange moist feeling behind both ears...o No: I talked with my dad about it, and he said that all of those distributor adjustments were done as part of a "$300 distributor rebuild" by brother had done when he was driving my car in Washington DC back in 1994. At least those old advance weights look good on my keychain. Well, thanks again Mike for sharing your knowledge, your garage, your tools, and your wife's race gas with all of us. It's a weekend I won't soon forget. I'll bring ROOT BEER to celebrate next time. I'll try to get up there tomorrow to pick up those bits I didn't need. - Freed PS- Will post pics when I get them loaded off of the camera.
Uhmmm? Freed you let Garrison set the timing in your car? I hope it was less than 64*. Big bad motors as Mikes require lots of attention and timing is important!! just bustin' your Ball's Mike.
