Hey everyone. I’ve read through a lot of threads here, checked my build sheet, & in my service manual about frame identification.

Just looking to verify my 72 Skylark frame from the V8 experts;).

I have a 1972 Skylark Custom 350 4bbl. Looks like I have a CR frame. I have read on here that some people with vehicles from the Fremont plant have had the 3 holes in the front it may’ve been used on BB cars. Mine has the 3 holes but the stamp says CR which matches my build sheet & manual.

Is this the standard frame or could I have a BB frame? Any help or info would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

    "CR" is the frame for a 72 Buick A-body coupe/sedan with a 350 Motor.

Thanks Duane. Kind of what I figured.

Could you help me decode my frame date & do you know who made it? I don’t see Haynes just an “S” in a circle.

Also is there really any difference in the 50 thousandths thickness between the frames?

    Thanks again,

    Kyle
