Scott, ' what part of town was it in ? My first car was from Leeds and sold new at Chuck Naiman. I still have the Dealer leather key fob  DL
A 70 GS in Burgundy Mist with Black interior and no AC is on my list of cars that I want!! Very cool :TU:
I purchased it from one of those guys that collects "projects" and was off N. Yale Ave. in Tulsa, so it looks like it never left town. Was your car optioned like this? Would be cool if it was your car from back in the day! Scott
Sorry it has been a while since my last post, but I have also been in the process of starting a business and that takes more time than I would like it to, but will be well worth in in the end. By the way, if anybody needs Point of Purchase marketing support in the form of signage, retail displays, mobile Apps, please check us out (www.buzzdesignstudios.com) - nice shameless plug :roll eyes: Ok, just received the body pinch weld jacks for the Uni Dollies a couple of days ago in preparation for piping the body from the frame. All bolts are removed and ready to go at this point.
Most of the components on this car still have date codes and markings clearly visible- way cool! Bummer that the mice got eat a bunch of stuff though -
Completed the restoration of the front seatbelt retractors. Super fun to get the large "C"shaped retainer back on  Disassembled the units and soaked the seat belts and plastic pieces in dish washing soap solution and super hot water for a crisp, clean finish. Interesting note that the belts have the same date production code, but the retractor spring cover on the drivers side was black and the passenger side was white. Guess they used whatever was available at the time?
It's neat to look at parts! The plastic seat belt spring covers are different colors because that meant it was a left or right retracter.
Exposed engine and drivetrain - I think the mufflers could be original! The assembly line must have run out of Buick body mounts and improvised by using this Chevrolet part
