Found my Fremont Buildsheet

  1. After almost 37 years found my buildsheet on top of my gas tank. Just a green Skylark, but still a perfect intact buildsheet.

Always cool to find one of those regardless of the type of car.

We have a Fremont built '72 Buick and we have not checked on top of the tank (yet) so maybe there is one more for us to find...we did find 3 inside the car already (under drivers bucket seat, between the cover and foam of the lower portion of the rear seat, & 1 under the package shelf cardboard).

Check inside and you might find more.....

  3. I've had the whole interior apart. Nothing there. I thought I remembered reading something here, that Fremont cars didn't have them on the tank.

By the way the car was built 5/25/70. So Friday it'll be 37.

Well done. I have mentioned before, I have two vintage cars we've owned since new and I have never found any build sheets anywhere on either one, so I'm jealous.

By the way, tell you Skylark I said "Happy Birthday"....

Mandys GS is a Fremont car, I found 3 build sheets in it, one taped to the back of the drivers door panel, under the carpet on the drivers side front and on top of the gas tank. The one from the door was perfect, both the others were unreadable, they had soaked up oil/tar from sound deadening material..

Agreed, any build sheet is great no matter what car. My Olds '98 had it on top of the gas tank, I'm hoping my Electra has it there also.

I'd like to query anyone with a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Fremont</st1:place></st1:City> build sheet as to the numbers in <st1:address w:st="on"><st1:Street w:st="on">Box</st1:Street> 24</st1:address> (DF SEQ NO) and the numbers on their cowl tag following the date code (Fisher batch codes). I think the numbers are unique and correspond between the two.

If this pans out, it will be a big help to all the '71 owners out there.

My car is a Fremont car. I found the build sheet on top of the gas tank. Was delivered to a dealership in Denver. How it got to the Atlanta area, I don't know.:Do No:
