This is a good one, don't miss a second. I love the custom made studio camera car to keep up with the race.
I always read that the Charger had a Hemi, it didn't..

On top of this I just saw a episode of Petty Coat Junction with Tommy Ivo:)
and can't forget the Bradley girls;)

Wow! Thanks for posting this, I really enjoyed it. I have the DVD and have probably seen the movie at least a dozen times. I saw the Mustang at the MCACN show last year. The car itself really was a POS but the history of it is priceless. Very cool.

That was the absolute best Mustang model ever made. The 70 Boss cars were a close second..

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

If you look closely it appears to be a small block Chevy powering the studio camera car.

    Thanks for the video link.

It was the little things also, like why we kept seeing the green Volkswagen Bug, it wasn't just because the repeated chase fill in.
When I previously saw the Simpson episode, the Bug scene went over my head.

Yup, it does look like a sbc BUQUICK.

Also the final scene to where the Charger fly's into the gas tank was interesting.
If that front bracket that connected the 2 cars didn't release the Charger into the gas tank it might of been a real disaster.

Years ago they had shutdown a big part of Boston next to China Town to film a car scene for the TV show Spencer for hire. We knew about it and went there to see at the last minute. Some people camped out all day..
2 days of setting up, and all the Caddy Seville did was drive maby 40 feet and take a turn and slammed the brakes at maby 10 mph and done.. I get that it was a TV show but it was just to funny and I can imagine how much that 5 seconds of footage cost..
