    Had to pull my starter out of my 97 F-150 truck to get it rebuilt.Came across this little bakelite shield that clips over the starter cylinoid.This is a factory mini starter and the stock exhaust runs about a inch away.Although you can't see it in the pic,the shield is discolored by were the exhaust runs next to it.Can't give you a part number because there not one on it but I clipped it on a extra cylinoid for the mini starter I use on my 455 and fit perfect.
    Might be a help on those people that need sometype of shield for their heatsoaked starters on their 455's.
    I thought this maybe a help to someone.
