Hi everyone! New guy here from Reno, NV. Always loved BPO and had a few while I was young: 68 Firebird Formula 400, 78 Olds Cutlass Supreme, and a 79 Firebird TA Black & Gold just like the Bandit's. Haven't had a good old classic since 2001 but finally acquired my dream car last week which happens to be my 1st Buick, a 1973 Buick Riviera Boat tail w/original 455. Does anyone know if there's a suspension upgrade kit available? Tie rods are shot and bent, may need control arms and the stabilizer links are missing. Thanks and hope to see your rides!
Welcome and nice car! It looks to be a 72 front end from the picture you attached. Your best bet for suspension is finding good used control arms. You can post in the “parts wanted” section in the board. You can get new links and tie rods from any parts store or rockauto.com. Aftermarket support for any generation Riviera is scarce, but more stuff is being reproduced daily. OPGI recently came out with an entire riviera catalog.
WELCOME from Miami!! ...and glad to hear you found your dream car I"m looking forward to getting back to Vegas at the end of next year. -MIG
