What is the gage of the sheet metal in the floor board of these cars? I'm needing to cut out and weld in some new metal where it has rusted through and I wanted to get simular thickness so welding would go smoothly. Are there any options for already stamped metal to weld in place on a 69 riviera floor pan? I was planning on just cutting out the 4 flat places at the feet of the front driver and passanger and rear driversside and passenger side and welding in new sheet metal stock to replace the stuff that is thin and has holes in these localized areas. Any pointers?
