    Does the Buick v6 balancer and flex plate fit a sbb 350?

    Here is one of the reasons I ask;

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/TCI-Auto-H...ash=item2caf13085c:g:T0sAAOSw-wJaAmG6&vxp=mtr

    Pretty sweet deal if it fits and someone was looking to convert to internal balance on a sbb 350!

    Going to try to remember to call TCI when they're opened to get some more info out of them because the picture looks generic(looks like the sbc balancer).

    I have used this balancer on some chebby builds I have done and they work VERY well, engine still ran smooth at 8,500 RPM!(I told him not to spin it more than 7,500 after he told me that! LOL)

    I bought a tci balancer for the s/c. if I knew I was going to have to modify it,(thank god they don't work in jet engine business) I would have gone to t/a. that's my $.02.
    I thought the 350 and v6 were the same balancer.? the flywheel...too old to remember. lol
    just went and looked at the ebay item. buy the correct one.

    John, was your tci balancer spec'd for a Buick V6 or did you mod a differant brand? Int. or ext. bal.?

    I had the same flywheel on a 300, 340 and 225, the dampers should interchange too.

    emails back and forth with tci about which one is correct. 350, external balance, but since they are modified chevies, I had to modify it for using 6 bolts holes for the blower pulley. the bolt pattern is chevy which doesn't match buick. for what I needed to do the bolt pattern didn't really matter BECAUSE everything I do on this engine is modified. and that makes it tough on memory," what did I do". lol

    Well, called Summit & TCI,
    TCI says it wasn't designed for a V8, so it won't absorb the harmonics. It also is .625 too wide, so pulleys would be outboard by that much. Could remove .625 and throw the dice? :D
    Or just spend the big $$$ and get the internal BHJ.
