With the power a Bentley puts out, I don't think you NEED to drop in a BBB. At least from what I have heard about them.
Mike - You private message box is full and won't accept any more - I tried. Interested in the 1970 GS 455 Convertible Automatic. Would love to see pix. Thanks. Mike Ritter Email : mritter@dc.rr.com
When you tromp on a Bentley TurboR you don't need to worry about being embarrassed, even though it weighs about 5700 pounds.
Mike, Add me to the list of those interested in the Bittersweet convertible. Email sent. email 3spencer2@gmail.com
Mike - Got your email and apprecite the information you provided on the BSM 1971 GS 455 Convertible. The thing that is holding me back, and I'm pretty sure others as I see a lot of activity on it, is a lack of detailed pictures. Thanks. Mike
All off market now although I do have a local guy that may get one of the convertibles. It's my real estate agent that saw the cars in my garage when I was buying this most recent acreage for the farm. Ironically, he's a Pontiac guy at heart but realizes that my prices are way below what he could get elsewhere. It is easier to sell locally when the buyer can see with their own eyes what it is. No amount of pictures ever seem to be enough if you don't trust the seller.
I'm putting the two convertibles back for sale if anyone is interested with the objective of selling one or the other of them. I will accomodate with pics galore if that's what someone needs. The auto is $18K and the 4spd is $28K. Both are a bargain at that but especially the 4spd car because it needs nothing except the clutch chatter fixed. The auto car has a mar in the paint on the pass door and a split on the horizontal seam on the driver's seat. That's why the price is down on that one, to let you get it fixed up again.
Hi Mike, looks like I missd the fleet sale ops (all great cars btw)...but given your formidable inventory, thought I'd ask...any lines on a '65 or '66, non-air 4 speed Gran Sport? Would love either a Hard top or B Post car, just not interested in converts. Do you have one? If not, know a fellow member who does? Thanks for any help!
Still looking to sell one or both of the convertibles. I think I'll keep the GSX and Stage1 indefinitely.
I've owned 70,71 and 72 GS455's as well as 7 big block SS Chevelles, and 39 Mustangs. They are ALL GREAT cars but for all out fun as well as speed NOTHING beats the 86 Grand National that I purchased last December for pure enjoyment!! I've never thought a 6 could be so FAST!!!
I'd have to go along with that, to some extent at least. First time I tried passing a car on a two lane road, first I almost ran into the back of him, then swung out sharply into the left lane and almost went off the road. My 87 would break the tires loose at 40mph if you nailed the gas pedal, and it was completely stock. They respond totally different from a carburated car.
Hi Mike, As per the posting rules I am expressing interest in your 1970 GSX. Should you resume interest in selling it, please PM me. Thanks, Marc
