Flaring Tool?

    I was needing to shorten some brake lines and reflare the tubing for the fitting. I looked in a local industrial supply store catalog for a flaring tool and it had two different types. A tool with a 45* flare and one with a 37* flare. What's correct for my 70 GS ? :Do No:

    I'm not sure of the angle but, if you're doing brake lines they need to be double flared.

    Yep, 45 degree double flare is it.
    37 is for AN fittings. Airplanes etc..

    Just a word of advise on the flaring tool. Don't buy cheap on these because they are junk. Spend the money and get a good one from Snap On. They are about $100 but well worth it...if ya want to stop that is :cool:

    Only go double flair on brakes or you will pop the seal.
