Got my new tank in, wired, and plumbed. Next step set up the EFI to work with the transmission. I was told by FiTech that the throttle arm is the same as a Holley 4150 and should work with maybe a little grinding. :error: It takes a little more than that. I also looked at some other kits for and there may be a problem with the shaft and nut used to hold the throttle arm assembly on. Step one: reverse the throttle arm connecting rod. Pull the cotter pins, flip the rod to the back side, put cotter pins back in.
Step Two: sorry same picture #1 cut at the red line. Then grind the bottom of the arm that is 45 degrees until it fits like picture 2.
Not done yet. The next plate does not sit flat. So grind some more on the arm until the second plate can set flat. Say I love to grind stainless steel. p
If the lower hole is in the right place to give you the correct amount of TV cable travel what do you gain with the TV made easy gizmo? Seems like it would be great on an older Holley arm as the cam action would allow you to get the TV cable attachment point exactly where you need but I don't get what it's doing for you here.....
My transmission was set up with this "gizmo" and works perfectly. In the spirit of "it ain't broke" did not want to change it.
Hope to have it running Saturday. Might not have a hood for a while. I don't think I can get a hat to fit under the hood with this. '
