Yes, next Sunday on the Theresienwiese where the Oktoberfest is always is a big Classic Car show!

And every last Friday of the month in Dasing Autobahn A8 I organize the "Cruise Night" at the Miss Pepper Diner, for cars up to early 70's!!!Starting around 6 or 7 o'clock evening.

Stop by! It is cool! Lots of Muscle Cars, Kustoms, Hot Rods, Trucks.

Gorgeous car, I'm jealous! :laugh: I've been looking for a nice one up here in Canada for years and have never found one. Only rusted-out old things you guys would call a "klapperkasten" or a "schinken"...

I had no idea that there are so many of those old Strassenkreuzers still there; I would have thought the TUV would have legislated them all out of existence. Next time I'm "over there" I'm going to have to check out the Buick scene!

 

Yeah we Germans dig those american "Strassenkreuzers" the scene is getting bigger and bigger. Only the gas price also Crazy now. But we keep cruisin'

My brother lives in Edmonton since last year! When I visit him, I will check the scene there also! Cheers

 

Landed today. The 300 yesterday... matches good. No side mirrow on both, dual quad, posi and black and both real cool.

Yeah, that Mopar Stuff is getting very mainstream over here. I used to like them a lot, but now it's getting boring, hearing Mopar Mopar everywhere. GM has the better cars I think, but some Mopars are cool I must say.

 

Same here... sometimes i have the impression that there are more '69 Charger nowadays than there ever were build back in the days... at US car shows here an eighties Caprice Coupe is rare :grin:

 

Most of that Mopar stuff has disolved away to nothing up here. But for whatever reason they are still popular around here. It seems the cheaper ones are more popular than the more expensive models. Most of the ones that are running around have been extensively rebuilt and weigh a ton more than when they were built. There are lots of ex-6 cylinder Darts that now have 340s or 440s in them. As for an 80s Caprice, there are none left, and the few that have survived the demo-derbies are pretty much ignored at any local shows. The most popular car around here is a 57 Chevy. There are thousands of them here, more than were ever built. At any car show that has around 300 plus cars, one can only expect to see about 4 Buicks.

 

I have one too! But it is a old Street Machine from the 70's with a 302 Chevy and a 4 Speed. It is a bit rough, and I like it that way. No Bubble Gum cruiser but a bad ass with a crazy interiour
