Got the 2200 stall converter in last night, the electric fan installed, wiring finished and made a temporary ps bracket that actually works out decent to relocate my 70 style brackets down low. Installed the y pipe and drove it to an exhaust shop to have the exhaust done. 2.5" duals from the manifolds, to an x pipe with dumps just in front of the axle. I haven't really opened it up much since it only has about 100 miles on the motor but so far it feels strong. It's under carbed with the 600 Holley but it's snappy as can be on the throttle. Specs are 455 1970 sf, standard bore. Oil mods, home ported heads, B4B, TA valve train, 290h cam. Measured cr is 9.5-1. As my wallet recovers a better carb and headers are on the to do list. Oh, and after a 30 minute drive in mid 80s temps oil pressure was 13-15psi at a 750rpm idle and 45-50 at 2000 rpm.

Tidying up some small things, found a vacuum leak at the brake booster (fixed) and replaced the contacts in the starter. It would just click but not engage. I'm using a 1996 Corvette lt4 starter, which means I had to run to the Toyota dealership parts counter since the starter is a nippondenso. $13.58 later it's like new money. I also found out that my right rear tire doesn't stand a chance.
Oil pressure was about 20psi and I had just driven it home, about 10 minutes drive. I've been fixing a lot of small issues. Got my guages sorted, put a new set of contacts in my LT4 starter, fixed a couple bulbs on the interior. Slowly...
