I finally got my 1985 Regal's engine from JW. 470 stroker,TA SE Stage 1 h eads with bowl blending, SP1 intake,290H cam,Eagle rods,Diamond pistons,10.25 cr,TA 7qt oil pan and pick-up,JW mechanical fuel pump, Delco distributor with Limited Lectric electronic ignition conversion set at 34* total advance. It made 565 HP @ 5600 RPM and 570 ft lb torque @ 4800 RPM with a Holley 1000 cfm carb. The animal had over 500 ft lbs of torque from 3200 rpms all the way to the end of the pull. My 200-4R trans will be finished next week by Vince Janis and on the way here. I already have a MPC billet converter with 3200-3500 stall. Plan on putting the RobbMc 1/2" pick-up and braided gas line in this week and running all the gage wires. I've installed a 9" Ford rear diff. 3.50 Detroit Locker gears, boxed upper and lower control arms with Spahn rear radius roll rod. This should spin my 27.5" Hoosier Quick Times just fine. This has been a 2 yr. project so far and its finally looking like it coming together. I've gained a wealth of knowledge from everyone on this board for this build and I thank you all. By next spring I'll be ready to put it on the street. Theirs a 26 yr. old kid down the street with a 1970 Dodge RT,440 who says he's never heard of a Buick 455 Stage 1. I have a date to introduce him to one. Thanks guys, and Jim Weise is the Patron Saint of Buick.

O come on now. We all KNOW that Buick's are grandma cars...... Course that R/T is the real deal :Brow: and will beat everything.... just ask the owner!

This should be funny, post the story & a video, is the car painted yet? If not, even better. Install some grundgy valve covers & a closed element air cleaner (drill out the back side for air flow) and then pull a plug wire so she misses. Guy should be all over it.....

Then just cinch down the loose plug wire & embaress the _rap out of him. :Dou:

The 9" rear might be a subtle clue.

The 9" could be a give away. A little wd-40 & some dirt for cammo. Play it off like you don't know.....

Course the other suspension goodies kinda give it away, along with Drag radials & such. Some old mis-matched steel wheels might help with the cammo effect.

Let's see some pic's of this beastie!

I can't make the Regal look bad,its a little old lady from Fort Worth car in immaculate condition, white with chrome rocker panel covers and maroon interior that looks like show room I'll try and post some pictures later, the front end is off now and the engine compartment empty so not much to look at. People up here think the only Buick that can run is a turbo 6 grand national and my regal doesn't impress them......YET !! I'll keep everyone posted.
