Fess up with what your combos are and ET's

    Just curious as to what you guys and gals have as your combos are in your Big Block Regal's.

    pistons, heads , cam , intake, carb, ignition ,headers & exhaust, trans , rear end, tire size.

    Even the rear suspension set up.

    E.T.'s ? 60'?

    Just trying to figure what would be the best for me, would love to see mid 11's and mph in the 100 teens, and be able to drive it almost as a daily driver.

    Mine Regal weighs in at 3700# with a driver and 3/4 tank of fuel.

    Engine: "71" 455 out of a Electra
    Heads: "71" 455 heads small valve stock
    Cam: "71" 455 stock specs
    Intake: Eldelbrock dual plane
    Carb: "71" Stock Q-jet rebuilt
    Ignition: "75" 350 cu in HEI, with longer gear for the 455, updated with a Pertronix Flamethrower upgrade kit.
    AutoZone 7mm wires
    Headers and exhaust : Poston's? 1 7/8" primaries for a A-body Skylark 455 , long tube, 3" collectors. 2 1/2" duals , to Flowmaster 44's with
    turndowns.
    Trans: "86" Grand National BRF code 200R4 trans, Heavy DutySprag, 10 vane pump , Kevlar and Redband clutches and plates, 2800 rpm
    "redstripe" converter.
    Rear: "86" Grand National 8.5 , 3.42 posi.
    Tire: 275/60/15 radial tires , off brand... on GN 15x7 rims.... however I do have a set of used 275/50/15 BFG Drag Radials
    unmounted.
    Rear Suspension: Stock
    ET: Slow ...... 8.79 @ 79 mph on 1/8th mile , 1.8ish 60'

    in the works, 70' Heads to be converted to Stage 1 Specs , "76" 455 disassembled.

    IM Ready to go faster and have some fun... and drive it to a from events.

    Hey Chris, My 84 regal was great and so reliable..It had a 462 10.1 stage 1 ported heads Lunati SP-235 Cam T-400 trans 3.73 GN rear 3800 stall Best time 60' 1.601 11.78 113 MPH with at the time 94 Sunoco.

    1972 skylark 4 door was going to be a parts car. used 455 from craigslist 1500 with gs air cleaner 73 block ported 70 heads mystery cam horse traded parts for edelbrock intake used 750 carb free from a buddy used headers 80 craigslist used parts car exhaust flowmaster 2 1/2 8.5 10 bolt with rebuilt junk yard posi used gears 60 12 bolt axles had to weld up chevy style ends total 600 in rearend. Th400 has a shift kit stock converter m/t 26x10.5x15 et drag slicks car is stripped of almost every useless part ran a best of 8.096 @ 85 mph in the 1/8 mile about a 12.70 in the 1/4 best 60 foot is in the 1.8 range swaping out converter to a 2800-3200 adding 150 shot of nos. fun car built all under 5 grand :Smarty:

    TA 413HLR-455 Cam Int Lift=.582 Dur=298 deg.; Exh Lift=.580 Dur=310 deg.

    Intake, TA SP1
    TA 2" Full Length Headers

    Trans
    T200 4R Stg 3 from Extreme Automatics,
    2.45 first gear,
    ~3200 -3500 stall converter, 10", no lockup
    Deep sheetmetal pan

    Rear
    Moser 12 Bolt, 4.10 first gear, Wavetrac differential, 35 spline axles

    Suspension - Rear:
    Mish mosh of Dick Miller Lower Control Arms and Springs; TnT Raceshop uppers, TnT Raceshop upper and lower mount braces, Spohn Prostreet rear sway bar (7/8 vs 1 3/16), QA1 adjustable shocks.

    Front: Spohn tubular uppers and lowers, QA1 adjustable coilovers, 350lb springs; will run 1 3/16 front roll bar on the street.

    Tires:
    Plan to run 295/65 x 15 MT Radials in the rear, 27" front runners from whomever.

    Have no clue how fast, some suspension stuff was purchased on the cheap and just may work, or may not. We'll see next spring.

    "72" 455 with unknown internals bought for 800.00. Performer intake, holley 800 sq bore. headers, electric water pump, fuel pump and fan. power vac pump for PVC. TH400 built for racing rev valve body 3600 Stall converter. ford 9" rear, ladderbars and adj coil over shocks. was a 5:00 rear gear now 4:50.

    best 60' 1.47 7.19 1/8 @ 91mph , 11.83 @ 104.

    car weighs 3100 with me in it. This is not a street car and even if it was street legal I wouldnt drive it in this configuration. Still a very fun ride!

    Briz what kind of rpm you turning with the 4.50 gear?

    havent yet run the 4:50 gear but the 5:00 was 5200 at the 1/8 and started floating the valves around 5800. For the only good 1/4 run I made I just held it at 5500 all the way through. want really pulling just maintaining. I've shifted to N and coasted through the traps at the far end and ran mid 12's
