I don't want to get into the specifics, but my dad is hellbent on self destruction and I'm tired of being the "parent" in the situation for the entire family.

It doesn't matter if I talk to him or his best friend, he won't listen to anyone and it's a miracle that someone very close to me (or a complete stranger for that matter) hasn't been hurt or killed yet. Keep the man in your prayers, he needs it as much as anyone.

    Thank you and God Bless.

Best Wishes to you and your father Cullen.

One thing is for sure, you can't change people who don't want to change - that is for them to do if they ever acknowledge they've hit bottom.

If they ask for your help - give them your best. If you offer and they push you away - you can't help.

Cullen, you'll have my prayers for that. As you've already realized, there are some situations where God's intervention is the only intervention that can help.

    All the best...

    Cullen,

You need to get professional help for your situation.

Think of it this way, Your car breaks down on the highway.
    People come to your help.
Now you have all these experts who have come telling you what is wrong.
    You don't know these people.
The alternator is bad, No, it's the battery, No, it's the regulator, No, it's a short....
"All of a sudden everyone is an expert!"

"You" already know what is wrong in your situation.
It's time you seek real professional to help for yourself.
Believe me, You are not alone in Fort Worth, and there are others w/ the same situation or familiar w/ the same.

It's a phone call away, Cullen.
I'm not sure who you can call in the community that you live, but there is someone out there in your community for your situation.

    Scott
