Ultra-rare 4-door Chevrolet Corvette surfaces for sale | Fox News https://www.foxnews.com/auto/ultra-rare-4-door-chevrolet-corvette
I saw that article. GM did themselves a big favor by keeping it in the garage. It would have ruined Corvettes as we know them, and I’ve never (and won’t ever) owned one.
Call me crazy but I think it looks better than its 2 door brethren. The extended cab makes the long hood more in proportion.
When you consider the Porsche Panameras, this 4 door Corvette's execution and proportions are actually pretty good ... not withstanding it's absurd tof this result compared to the inherent purpose of the original car. Q: Why do the German cars get so many passes and praises when Germas execution of essentially the same idea/concept happens? A: Go drive a German car and you'll better understand.
I kinda like it but they really didn't need to add the extra doors to put a back seat in it. It should of stayed a 2 door and called it a 4 seater, now that would of been cool! IMO
They could’ve done it like Datsun did with the 240Z. Just a little stretch and move a rear bulkhead and there ya go... not what they did here; turning a sports car to a grocery getter like that slaps its heritage square in the face.
Been around for a while, long enough for Monogram to make a kit of it. I got mine in the mid '80s. Still in the cabinet with the other 300 odd GM models.
I think the disco era c3s already slapped the heritage in the face... they are some of the worst cars GM built.
i mean...Its a clean car, but a very odd one, if anything it would of ended up like the mustang mach E, using a famed name in a little suv
