Factory 401 guide height needed ASAP.

    My old guides where cut 1/2 to short machine shop says. Can’t fined what the factory height is . Any help would be appreciated. Car is supposed to be on its way to lake George for the Adirondack nationals in 5 days

    Call Russ or Matt Martin at Centerville Auto Repair. They have them. Matt sez clearance 2.5 3.5 and not to use bronze bushings.

    I ordered all my guides from them and my valves from them for the cylinder head. On the website there’s a ton of great information. I couldn’t find anywhere where it says the factory installed height of the guide in the cylinder head. I also looked through a ton of factory literature

New cam bearings,rod bearings, everything is clean and just waiting on a camshaft. Going to put the motor back in tonight to finish up on some exhaust work. Also run a s475 turbo on this motor. I run 12psi boost .

    You put the snap ring back in place & facing properly Paul???
