Sorry about the pic, it was fuzzy before I scanned it, cropped it, and blew it up. They had these as Kentucky State trooper cars, I'm sure others, too. Most of the troopers in the remote area, like where we were, were given a car of their own and took it home at night. There was another one near us that was a 57 Chev. He always said, if you want to try to outrun me, go right ahead, I won't use my radio....But if I catch you.......

I think this is one of the coolest stock appearing car I've ever seen. Seems to me there was one like this in the old Mitchum movie, "Thunder Road"... BTW that story took place right where we lived in Western Ky. I had a 56 Mainliner that was an ex Ky state trooper car. Talk about a quick car....

Can you picture a 2/3 shootout with Pegleg's car?

Yeah right......kinda like the aluminum engine W31....

No attempt to say they ever made one of these, just to me fits the category of "Stock Appearing". Of course it doesn't fit the rules of either Pure Stock or F.A.S.T. I race both, have for many years...

Forget the rules of those things, just tell me if it doesn't appear stock.....did I miss something? Even the small hubcaps look right....

Guess I missed which car was yours? My apologies if I met you and forgot your name...I'm an old fart, **** happens.....

    SISU.....

I personally prefer the limited production Cammers. Heard somewhere the engines would approach 600 hp out of the box. Or out of the back door at Holman-Moody!

There used to be a 57 Tbird with one of those SOHC monsters in it that ran at Milan in the 60's. It was grey or a silver color....

Think 57 Chev's had a thing called the black widow(?). It was a black 150 model comparable to this Mainline Ford.
