Does any one know who or where i can get a Fabric-Cloth type top made? My wife really wants to get rid of the vinyl type top,,,since its wore out any way. The car is not a show car but a #2 condition Skylark Custom, 350-wair and buckets-console, the rest of the car is restored now and the top is the last to to do.

    Thanks!! Dave and Dayna:grin:

    hmm..

I know it exists i've seen cloth ones advertised. I'm also looking for a cloth one when it comes time to replace the ol vinyl one.

If you search this board for who makes the tops you'll see that many of the companies offer many styles of materials to use. since the company also already has the pattern it isnt that much more of a "custom order" cost.

If i rember right OPGI sells one that is cloth but has a vinyl rear window (screw that) so that maybe a necessary drawback in using a cloth top

also your trim shop who installs it (if you don't do it) also may have a few suggestions in what to use.

Crown, Kee auto tops, they all make them. Any "good" trim shop can help you. A "Stayfast" top, cloth fabric like new cars, will run you about $200-300 more than a correct vinyl grain top.

The Stayfast material tops look great, come in many colors (darn near everything EXCEPT white), last much better and most importantly, looks great. You can also get different color and even patterns on the underside of the top.

All in all a great choice if your top does not have to be white.
