Hello Everyone, I'm going to be installing the F 41(factory traction bars) on my 72 GS 350. The car did NOT come with these. I was wondering where exactly do they install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It uses the nuts from the upper and lower control arms

Here’s a pic of mine before and after sandblast and paint from the front side.

I've parted out close to 50 GS cars and they all had the bars,..it baffles me so many here lately are popping up that didn't get them,..makes me question how many may have been born skylarks

Mine was missing the braces and the sway bar when I got it.

Probably because ladder bars were installed way back when.

It's back on the ground now. I took photos before putting on those lovely 30 year old whitewalls and rusty 14" rallyes though:D

When I was installing the brakes, I screwed up and installed the left and right brake adjusters on the wrong sides. I went to do a preliminary adjustment and ended up tightening the adjuster all the way in...causing me to disassemble both sides to swap them. That's what I get for not double checking.

Brake and fuel lines will be here sometime mid week. In the interim, I'll bring the body back in and start getting that ready. I don't imagine it'll take long to get it cleaned up and ready for paint. The doors and fenders are in pretty good shape, with the exception of two creases in one of the doors. I have a suspicion that the fenders are "flat tops" and will need some help there. Trunk lid is nice. Hood is exceptionally nice, but I'll have to make the spring disappear on the bottom side.

Maybe end of February to see some color?

My 67 originally came with the 300 and ST300 trans. It doesn't have the braces.

It was always my understanding that "f41" suspension included the rear sway and boxed arms and of course the frame bars, but I've literally parted out over more 350 GS's than I can remember and while only a few had the rear sway they all had the frame bars,..

A very late update. I been in the hospital for months, so I'm sorry for the late update. I originally took a quick look under the car ( I have a bad back) and did not notice the F41 bars, but the car actually did have the bars. Sorry for the confusion.

Will those fit on other cars like a 65 lesabre?

I'm not sure. I did replace the F41 bars, along with many other steering and suspension parts. I purchased the parts (brand new) through a board member here. You can contact Todd at Die Cast Muscle Cars. He's a great guy and will help you out.
