Anyone know or seen it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Buick-...ash=item238caa1ee9:g:s-kAAOSw4HxZlzRt&vxp=mtr
If your dream is to own a 62 that would be the one to buy. You couldn't duplicate it for the asking price.
After posting the above, I went googling and found this link about hot rodding the 215. Interesting stuff. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/hot-rodding-a-buick-215.740708/page-3
It's a really nice 62, and a very nice resto. On the other hand...it's gone 385 miles since 2009, probably earlier. It's not really on most people's top ten wish list. Hopefully, the new buyer will drive it!
very nice example but I would think there are not a lot of people willing to drop almost 22k on a stock 62 skylark.
When I was a teenager, my best friend bought a '62 Skylark convertible when he turned 16. We had a blast with that car! We screwed it up doing the things teenagers do with cars but that is how things were back in the 70's. We cut off the single exhaust and put dual Thrush mufflers on it using goose-neck tubing. The mufflers were under the center of the car and hung too low so we put coil spring spacers in the coils front & rear. Even with them, occasionally we drug a muffler off. I got good at retrieving hot mufflers. We drilled holes in the hood and put hood pins on it, painted a black stripe on the hood, put stripes on the rocker panels, put a tach on the dash, put a chrome steering wheel on it and put a chrome "foot" gas pedal on it! I need to find some pictures of it...
