engine shop in the New Hampshire area

    hey all. i have a 1973 Buick Riviera that i am restoring. almost done.. the new engine needs to be started. i don't have the skill to do it and i am having some problems with coordinating and getting my engine builder to come down and do it with me. anyone know of anyone in my area that can help?

    i am on central NH

    Can you take the engine somewhere? I very much doubt someone will do that. They like to work on their own turf.

    None that are familiar with Buick engines, at least to my knowledge. IMO, it'll be way cheaper in the long run to send it to a reputable Buick engine rebuilder (there are some on this board). I can't even imagine what an engine builder would charge to walk you through a rebuild, but if it was me, it would be alot.

    i can have the car trailered anywhere that is not too far.

    Problem is most builders don’t want to get involved in other guys work. Someone starts it and you bend a valve or something. Probably not the guys fault but the finger pointing then starts. I started a car that happened to. Did everything right. It just happens.

    i dont know any places, but maybe you could give it a shot, watch some videos on how to do it? it could be a learning experience

    Is the Motor rebuilt? Im reading you need help starting the motor for the first time... Is that correct?
