I always get excited seeing how a set of wheels and tires can transform the look of a car. So after weighing numerous options, Heather and I settled on a setup we hoped would maintain the cars classy appearance while still giving it a little attitude. Personally, I think we achieved just that! Whatcha think? (Black wheels are a before shot with the stockers) After
Thanks gents! We're quite happy with it. Tires are 245-60-15 all around. I wanted to keep close to stock height as to not change driving characteristics, but go wider for a more aggressive look. Also I wanted all 4 corners to match since this is the road trip car and it makes spares easier. The wheels are 15x7 wheel vintiques series 62's, and I had the car paint store scan the car and custom mix some ppg Omni base/clear to match the original paint. It's definitely more "bone white" than "Arctic white" after all those years of sun, but I kinda like it to be honest. Even the dude that mixed the paint commented on how much yellow was in the recipe.
Thanks all. Given the history, I was genuinely hoping this configuration would get the Chris Lance seal of approval!
Reminds me of the monopoly man's shoes, you know from the 1920s what the gangsters would wear in the old gangster movies. I think those old shoe covers were called "spats" IIRC, formal wear from way back then. Interesting look for a car, different with a hipster vibe, retro ironic, I like it. Derek
Tasty! Great choice Shawn. I have been kickin around painting mine body color too, but, just not sure yet.
Both look good. Classy! However, it nees a 530 Tomahawk and Stage 2 scoop to round out the package. Now get to work! Lol
