I have the Holley blue pump

I've heard some stories of where to mount the electric fuel pump, from what I'm getting your supposed to cut into your tank and mount a sump, but it does say in the directions that you can mount the fuel pump and use the original sending unit to pull the fuel. I heard hooking the pump up using the original sending unit doesn't last long. I also heard that you can't drive for a long trips. What needs to be done to make this pump work well for a street/strip driver, I'm confussed:Do No:

I have mine mounted on the inner rear frame rail, with 1/2 aluminum line, and billet fuel filter. in my case,my fuel cell is in the trunk.
I have driven it on the highway with zero problems

its a pump, so you must mount it low and as close to the tank as possible.

mounting it up front is a no no.. it has to suck in more than pump out.

you should run a filter before the pump too.
