Scumbags ,if we ever had the pleasure of meeting(face to face) you would more likely than not wish you both would have found it in your hearts to do the right thing. Before anyone asks I did Paypal them, then get unpaid item reminders.Because the sellers payapl acct was screwed up,I sent Postal M/O.So yes I am screwed .Don't you be too.:blast: GSJO

Sorry to hear this. However, you are not screwed. Go directly to the postal service, since you paid by Posta MO. They take mail fraud seriously and will take action. You may want to mention this to the sellers... it just might get the response you want.

I take it by your comments that your Paypal payment never actually went thru to their account?

Can't view the item. Is it over 90 days old?

Jo, I won't even ask why you did not question why their paypal account was no good. Although, I guess I kinda just did. :Dou:

I will never send a money order to anyone anywhere EVER. You wouldn't send cash, and a money order is cash basically.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Are you sure there's no way a bank can void a money order or track it?

When I search his username, eBay returns with a seller who has no feedback nor items for sale; member since Dec 2009 and now no longer an eBay member....
Was that the situation when you bought the steering wheel? (NO feedback at all and member since a few days or weeks at the most?)... I would be at least very cautious (with that amount of money involved I would not even buy)

I bought something using Paypal once and never got the product. Being tied to a credit card, I figured I was covered. I called the credit card people, and they said they paid Paypal, and everything was fine. I then called Paypal who told me that they contacted the seller who claimed they shipped the goods. That was all Paypal needed to hear, case closed. WTF ?? I never got anything I paid for, and never saw the refund. Lucky for me it was only about $50, but generally I dont trust Paypal either.

He sent a Postal money order, so he needs to go thru the post office for help. Hopefully you've saved your documentation?

Paypal also has "buyer protection". Not sure what that really means if they just call and ask the seller what is up and they say they shipped it and Paypal is ok with that. Sounds like the biggest scam alive.

Bottom line, I've said it once and I will say it a billion times, you need to scrutinize people's feedback very carefully. Zero feedback, zero score, most I would spend is $1. I agree with David, go to the post office right away with docs. Sounds like you are just writing it off out of exasperration. That's exactly what the ahole that stole your money is hoping you'll do.

    David,
I'm going to the post office next. It's not over 90 days old ,but apparently when the crap hit the fan they withdrew they're ebay acct. They at the time were new members ,I actually spoke to them prior to bidding. You guys are right they had no feedback ,but seemed sincere,my mistake for being an idiot and paying them.I learned the hard way.My point is just to make the rest of us aware of this crook.I will update if there is anything to update. Thanks ,Joe

Joe, how long has it been since you sent the MO?

I bought and sent it Dec17,09.Which doesn't sound that long ,but after actually speaking to them numerous times, asking if they received it.And then waiting for shipping info, then no call backs. So if it walks like a duck ,talks like a duck .You know the rest.Joe

Chattanooga is only 3 hours from BG. I did not recognize that address so I did a quick Mapquest. That street is actually in East Ridge, TN , and is about a mile from one of customers. It is a residential address. Did not see any cars or evidence of any parts business.

Ebay just sucks. Too many horror stories. It sounds like a favorite place for con men today.
I haven't bought much at all from there over the years, and I've never spent much on what I bought.
I go to other similar sites with no problem.
I've bought a few guns ranging from $250 to $1500 on gunbroker and never had any issues at all. Antique indian war era to fairly new guns and all have been what I expected.
Not the huge market of suckers there and not a large enough population of sellers to change your name and pop back up to rip another guy off.
I think that staying clear of all but the most reputable sellers with huge numbers of happy customers on Evilbay is the only safe way to be.
