I just sold my 68 AMX brochure on Ebay and ended up getting a payment from the 2nd highest bidder. If I hadn't been on my toes I'd likely have mailed it to this person. I dont know how that happened. Just a heads up for sellers. I am waiting to hear back from this person to see if Ebay notified him as the winner..

  2. Todd, that's really strange...did you get an email from ebay stating that the high bidder was the winner, and did both of those guys email you after the auction?

I have tried changing my email address many times in my ebay profile, and it never takes. Can anyone tell me who/how to notify them and get this fixed?

  4. That's a good question Jeff... I've changed my password without any problems before, but haven't tried changing me email address that I recall anyway. I assume you used the "change my email address" link on the "site map" page, about halfway down the page, under "my ebay" options? I have not been able to find an email link to simply contact an ebay CSR to tell them about a problem like this. I wonder if they have a phone # listed somewhere...

Have fun trying to find a phone number to contact eBay with any problems. My husband had a problem with eBay taking money out of his account twice for their dues. We finally did find an email address to contact them about this problem, but only after several hours of getting all worked up.

When we finally got everything worked out and they admitted that they had mistakenly taken extra money out of his account, they told him that it could be up to 30 days for them to refund. This is the web site that now owns PayPal, or visa versa, and they couldn't give him some instant gratitude?

I love eBay for both selling and buying, but I tell you what, those people are nearly impossible to get ahold of if your question relates to anything that they don't have posted as a "frequently asked question." :Dou:
