More than likely looking to break in or steal from you and used that as a cover. Get yourself some cameras you can check outside before you go out so you know what you are walking into. That way if someone is out there you can exit out the opposite door (or even a window)they would normally think you would, approach them from a more tactically advantageous position and surprise them. This would counter act a potential ambush if they had somebody lying in wait outside too. Of course they’d also have a wonderful view of the business end of my M4 too.

Altho I'd prefer living on a larger lot (just for the space!),being in town in the middle of the block has its advantages. When the neighbors' dogs bark, they ALL go off and the thugs peel out. ws

I live in a gated community in a somewhat rural area, however we have had a rash of car entry's overnight lately. Lot's of security footage of guys in hoodies running from driveway to driveway trying car door handles to see what is unlocked. I don't say break ins as the majority of entry's are unlocked cars, however they then access the garage door openers and some have entered homes while owners were asleep. During the day we get these guys that enter the neighborhoods usually walking or on bikes with backpacks, they will ring the bell and if no one answers they will kick the back door in look for quick valuables, cash, guns etc.

Just have to be on guard these days, more than ever it seems.
