At what rpm did it make its best power and torque?
    Thanks, Tony

    Thank you.

What I have seen is that the Q-950 with the 1.450 venturi vs the Holley HP 1000 with a 1.560 venturi on a combo like this is that they peak about the same HP on the dyno but the HP left about 12-14hp down low on the table. The smaller venturi will also have better throttle response/better down low power which is good for a heavy street car. The Q-1000 with the 1.500 venturi is still a good pic.

    4700/6200rpm

Very impressive Chris ,.... especially with pump gas!
Does this block wear a girdle? Looks like it has one in the picture.
How much vacuum does it pull at low RPM?

Seems the exhaust emphasis on duration and intake emphasis on lift is the best way to go on many performance cams I've seen, created, and tested.

    Very encouraging. :TU:

Its hard to believe that people said you must run a single cam shaft with aluminum heads.

The cam has to match the rest of the engine's components, and can vary from engine to engine, though there are some instances where one grind could fit a variety of combinations.

This is just playing into my own personal research and information sharing. I'm sure most of the professionals who've been doing it for decades are already ahead of the game.

I was merely confirming that this camshaft style tends to milk more out of the Buick engine airflow design better than straight pattern cams. I've shown this in other threads with direct comparisons. It's nice to know, for sure.

Thanks for sharing your information with us here on the forums. Your findings and successes are very encouraging.

I'm in no way trying to take any wind out of anyone else's sails, I'm just on the sidelines cheerin' ya on! :)

It's more clarification and reassurance. :TU:

    Chris,
This build has been a long time coming, and not without it's bumps and bruises. It was well worth the wait, and I can't wait to get it put in between the frame rails! I think I'm gonna have my hands full. Thanks again!
