Going thru the Summit site looking for a front driveshaft loop that utilizes the crossmember transmission bolts . Didn't see anything like that. Figured I'd post here and get some feedback on what works for others. Thankyou for your input............Jim/Rott

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

I don't have any pics, but we have the front loop off the trans crossmember. The rear is welded to the chassis by the front of the trailing arm mounts.

I got one from Steve Caruso; UNDERDOG350 here on the board. Not sure if he's still making them?

And they are very nice. But, you have to drill holes in the floor boards. I sold one months ago here on the board since it would not fit with my GV.

x3 on Steve Caruso - I've got three and love them, great product, well engineered. Perhaps he could be convinced to put them back in production, all the hard work is done!

Went with a bolt-in Umi. Instructions call for dropping rear of shaft and sliding loop up into place, then drilling and bolting it in thru brace in floorpan. Not gonna happen, 3" exhaust and mufflers in the way. Gonna hafta pull shaft, slide the loop on and slide yoke back into transmission. Thanks all for your replies, Jim

I was wrong, went in pretty easy, just dropped the rear of shaft. Took sum finagiling to get it past the exhaust and up into place. Bolts are too long, gonna replace em before paint, carpet etc.

I see you painted the bolts on the trans mount and it looks like the input shaft red? Looks Purdy..

Why not just trim the bolts ?

Shoulder of bolt is too long. Bolted up tight, I am pretty sure I have hit bottom. Need shorter shoulder and shorter threads. Jim
