Dan the car is only on methanol in the video, and a lot more than it needs. It will get a little bit snappier throttle response as it is leaned out.
The cam in it is for a little more rpm. I noticed when we fired it up it sound far more mellow at idle than the 1965 cam that had been in it

Tom I lost almost 3 months due to health issues at the start of the year. I am trying to get caught up at the moment. I hope to have time to work on the car in a week or 2 to finish up a few things.
I will try to post a few pictures soon. I did get the monster mag installed.
It's not looking good to be at Norwalk Ohio next month. The work I was going to do in New England got pushed back 5-8 weeks.
I will post more as I have it.

Hey John, That other tread has me thinking. Is your flex plate SFI approved? I thought anything over 9.99 had to have one. I have been thinking about calling J&W about making me a powerglide bell. I just don't like the idea of the the spacer coming lose and taking a foot off but I guess a blanket will stop it maybe. Could you use the adapter as the mid plate? it's been a few years sense I used one how thick is it? I think I remember it being like 1in thick.

A buddy of mine has a old 3 disc Crowerglide that he might sell to me. It has a bbc flywheel. Do you think its worth it to try to find someone to make me a flywheel for it. I sure like the idea of direct drive What are your thoughts what that

Tom the flex plate at the converter(inside bell-housing) is an SFI approved unit. I am using a stock starter ring gear/ OE flex plate for starting only. Due to the fact it is ahead of my 5/16 mid plate it is considered an internal engine component:rolleyes: I use the trans shields and a blanket so I am not too worried about losing to many of my parts from the flex-plate issues....
You will still need to use a mid plate as the adapter in itself will not work due to its shape.

As for the Crower-glide I will look into it for you with a few of the friends I have that ran them.

I hope to be going to get my top fuel license soon with our friend and his car. It may turn into a ride at the events in top fuel and we will run our car in Pro 7.0:pray: .
