Was at Budd's Creek (MIR) yesterday - saw Jacob and no one else??? Jacob's car is really nice if you haven't seen it - super clean! I was looking for the green mustang Tom - did he make it? What plates is he running? LS powered? Nice day watching the races, but hotter than stink - I think that brought the times up. My car said 100 degrees when I left at 2. I'll post some pics later.

I was at VMP Monday & was with Jacop at MIR yesterday when Brian was giving his top 10. Great job Jacop! Jacop & Paul got a lot of likes from the tower & others at VMP also.
Hope to see everyone at Cecil.

Very Popular under 7 secs, 3,000hp 1974 Opel driven by Magnus Frost and crewed by Dennis Klangebo out of Mora, Sweden. He broke something and made the last 5 minutes at MIR to stay in the hunt.

    Bill,

I went down to ATTCO with my other son Tommy on Wed. the 11th. The 8.50 class started with 32 cars. As of Wed.AM there were ONLY five cars left. My son Billy & his fried Dave slowed the car down by changing from the ram air inlet at the headlight & changed the 5" exhaust coming out of the hood for a 3" exhaust exiting by the fender. ALSO did some de-tuning as the car's fastest has been at ATTCO at an 8.01Et @170MPH.
I got there about 7:15 am. As of Wed, they were still in the running. I told them that ATTCO CAN be faster than Cecil & things didn't feel to bad to me & I mentioned they should slow it down a little more, which they did.
Now from the beginning they ran a string of 8.50's with an 8. Even though they turned it down a little the 1st. run was an 8.46. Now there kinda out of the running so they are going to see how FAST they can actually make it. Since they ran an 8.01 their looking for 7's now. They put the exhaust back at 5" through the hood. Hooked the fresh air, ram air intake back up & did some re-tuning looking for the 7's on the last day. Unfortunately the waste gate took a crap & the TURBO BLEW APART IN PIECES.
They are both on their way home now. Probably get in around 3 or 4am if there's no problems & everything goes right.
Make sure NOTHING got hurt engine wise, install another turbo & a better waste gate & go back looking for the 7's. Would be fitting for a junker wanna be race car & a $400.00 core engine with ALL THE ORIGINAL GM PARTS!!!!!.
I don't think they have 15K in this car. What started out as a kinda joke has turned into a pretty good running car. Maybe it's doesn't have a fancy paint job, BUT that doesn't make it fast, right???

I finally got home at 5:15 this morning. Had such a great time participating in Drag Week. My car stayed together and got tons of compliments from people. Glad I decided to make this crazy trip.

Thanks for the update Tom. I guess its key to go to watch one of the early races before things start to break! I hope the cars alright, sounds like a lot of fun!

Good to see you Jacob - the compliments are well deserved!
