I’m with you, Jacob. New shortblock went in about a month ago and I’ve been putting miles on the car and working on the Procharger tune the last few weeks at the track. Starting to get parts/tools together and still need to buy rear tires for the drive. Should be a good time.

Hey Paul, I saw pictures of your car on the Lebanon Valley photographers web site,
was wondering what you ran with the new combo.

You have an intercooler om there Paul and how much boost are you running?

No intercooler on it now. That will probably be a winter project. So far I’ve made a couple of high 10 second passes on ~5-6 lbs. of boost and shifting at 5000 rpm. So that puts the car right about where the previous NA motor was. That leaves the next couple of weeks to continue to play with timing and shift points. There’s a lot more to be had with shift points alone. I’d like to see 10.30-50’s to feel comfortable qualifying in the top 32 of Street Machine Eliminator. And I think that’s doable without increasing boost beyond where it is now. I think the bump last year was in the 10.80’s.

Good call on the resonators, Jeff. I didn’t have room to put them in the tailpipes since they exit right behind the rear tires. So I put them in front of the Dynomax mufflers and they definitely take the edge off. I think ear plugs are still going to be needed for 1000 mile drive but it is so much quieter.

Anyone have the daily schedule or know where it is posted? The detailed daily, not dates and places. I am curious when they start each day as I am going to try to make a run out to see you guys!

I don’t think they post a specific daily schedule. At least I have not seen one yet but I’m still waiting for the email from Hot Rod with the participant list and more info, tech sheet, etc. If they provide any details, I’ll pass them along.

Based on previous years, they typically race from 8am until around 2pm each day with the tracks opening their gates at 7:30am. The class cars run first, followed by street machine eliminator and then an open session for anyone who still needs/wants to make a pass.

    Stop by and say hi!

Paul that is one beautiful wagon you have!!

That exhaust pic shows a super sanitary under carriage!

Do you have a build thread or a write up about the car on here?

I'd love to see more pics....and that color, WOW!!
    :cool::cool::cool:

Wishing you guys all the best during Drag Week!

Ok cool. If you need help with tuning you can give Brandon @ deCordre Auto a call. He helps John Jr with his Skylark. I have his number if you need it.

Philip, thanks for the kind words. There used to be a build thread on here but I think that went away when the sever/host was updated several years ago. And I definitely got lucky choosing the right color for it - Kandy Brandywine from House of Kolor.

Jacob, I might take you up on that. I want to make a few more runs the way I have it set up now. Is Brandon coming with you or your uncle maybe?

    Paul,

IF your having some tuning issues my son Billy may be able to offer a suggestion or two or even help you set up. He's very good at what he does. Then again he may be to busy fooling with the Green Mustang. they have to slow it down to be no faster than 8.50.
How I would have loved to go, but alas it was not in the cards. Hope to be going to Cecil IF I can find a hook-up.
