    Hey Guys,

I just picked up an HP Dominator (9375) and a worked TA Dominator intake. It's jetted with 86 squared out of the box. I'm not sure if this is where I should start or if I should rejet. Here's the engine combo I'm running in my 69 GS:

    12.0:1 455 (.030 over)
TA 308s cam ground on 106 centers
    TA 1.65:1 roller rockers
    ported iron heads flow: I - 278, E - 210 @ .500
heads flow alittle better at .600
10" ATI convertor, flashes to 4000
373 gears with 29" tall tire

Previous induction was a worked TA intake with a Carb Shop 850 worked to flow 990. That was jetted around 82 front with a power valve and 88 rear with a 1" open spacer. Best time with that is 11.59 @ 115. I'm hoping to pick up a little with the Dominator. I will not use a spacer with the new carb.

What do you guys think? Any help is welcome.

    thanks

Hi Shayne, just got my eng back from the shop tonight, I'm running a T/A intake as well with a Pro-Systems 1088 dominator and started at 92 squared and it ran great, on the dyno we went to 94's and was better, 98's toomuch, you might try 90squared with your eng combo for starters. best of luck with your new parts aqusition!! P.S. eng. made 706.2 hp @6350 and 668 ft lbs.@4850rpm. Looks like a fun summer!! see ya, Bruce:laugh:

I'm sorry, did you say 706 hp:eek2: You better bring extra underwear to the Nat's.

Another question. How do you run your return springs?

    Anyone else?

    thanks Bruce

As for the return spring, right now it goes to the stock bracket on the manifold, a little stiff though. may have to make something better. see ya soon! Bruce:bglasses:

Bruce if you want to, you could LEND me your engine to see what it would turn in a 3100lb. car!:Brow: You are going to be in for one hell of a ride:beer Randy

I'd say 88 to 90 jets would be a good starting point.
Jeg's sell's a return spring kit that is "self-contained".It took me a while to buy one but I'm pretty happy with it.

    Thanks Gary.

I was up at Jegs last Sat. but all I found was a Moroso set up. I wasn't sure about that one because when I held it up to a Dominator it looked like the springs would be kicked out an inch or so. This made me wonder if it would wear the throttle shafts funny. I'll check out the Mr. Gasket set up.
