Anyone remember who's nailhead T bucket this was? If you look in the background of that pic, you'll see a bright yellow 73 GS.

A pic of Buizilla hanging the front wheels in the air and another of the crowded staging lanes. Im thinking this is 91

That picture is from 1989. I'll have to look and see if I have anymore pictures of it. Maybe from the car show...

The nailhead T bucket belonged to Brian Gearhart, a very good friend of mine. Sadly he passed in spring of 2002, super guy, I really miss him. His son still has the T bucket last we spoke. He did a great job on the bucket even has rear coil springs with I think wasn't so common years ago. HTH

    Sam,
Was that the car that I found in Charlotte and John and I shipped it to Pennsylvania and it passed through a couple of others' hands before you bought it? I think it is.

There are some really cool pictures in there guys... For some reason I recognize the silvermist '71 GSX sitting on the SS (?) wheels on page 4 or 5... I think I saw that one in a magazine recently...

*Edit* This is the car I was thinking about in the immediate foreground...

Does anyone recognize this thing? I think the wheels are called SS wheels, but I am not sure. How rare are those things?

I am pretty sure that is a 71 GSX that used to be a regular at BG. It was a one owner car, lady by the name of Vicki Jo Irvin I believe. Big block car. I've not seen that car since about 97 or so. She had ALL the paper work on this one as I remeber, even the cancelled checks from the payments! Don't know what ever happened to it.
That is correct, they are SS (super sport) wheels. These were a 71/2 wheel option, pretty rare, yet not so desireable. Oddly enough, both of my '71 cars came with them. I think the 72 wheels are wider than the 71s too, both 14" though.

Not to threadjack, but were these a GS-only deal? I mean, not that I care that much about originality, I am wondering what a set of these are in comparison to the Chevelle AO (SS396) Rallyes I have on my car now. Well, the three I have now. I got sniped on Ebay for one wheel, and the damn thing went for $90! I am sure the Buick SS wheels are far more... I am guessing nobody repops those things yet, either...

TTT Awesome pics. I have quite a few videos that parents shot before i went from late 80s on silent film, cruising through Holidome Parking Lot. I remember the parking lot at Autozone used to be slammed and even years later when I could drive, parking lot was packed with all the local iron and Mustangs would come up from Nashville. Some serious street racing back in the day. Havent been back since 2003, I hope to this year.

I have several videos from late 80s i could copy and send to someone to upload! Let me know Wild Bill if you want to do it!

Anyone upload these to Youtube yet?
