It's a shame this had to hapen to a good straight and dent free bumper. Please tell all your freinds and relatives to stay away from DVAP or you just might end up with a similar problem like mine. Good luck on looking for parts else where!!!!!!! Thank you all for your time!!!!!!!! Chip
Chip Send it to Ti City Plpating in Elizabethton Tn. You will not be disappointed. About 325 plus shipping or you drop off at a show they attend.
bumper for sale I don't plan on putting any more money into it, it is for sale in the Parts For Sale Section in here. I did find a great set of 72 bumpers from KSPLYNCH in here. Thank you all for reading this, Chip
This bumper did turn out to be a 67 front bumper and it was swapped for parts for my 72 GS. Thank you all for taking the time to read this!!!!!!!!!! Chip
I bought a "68" hood from dvap that was "good" . When it arrived it was a 69 hood , bent down one side ect. At least I can make it work. doc
It takes a lot of balls to send junk like this to people who don't really have the money to buy nos or just as new as you can get it, there should be a law against companies like this, just venting some steam!!!!!!!!
Times are changing Businesses like DVAP have been getting away with this for years because there wasn't a way for word to get around. They didn't get much repeat business but there was always plenty of unsuspecting customers to rape. Now there's the internet, and boards like this. Bad word of mouth travels much farther and faster than ever before. Think of all the people who read this board who won't consider DVAP now. Think of all the people who will use a supplier that gets a good recommendation. The clock is ticking for companies that don't take care of their customers. Each bad experience costs them more than ever and getting back from a bad reputation is many times harder than developing a good rep in the first place. :beer the power of communication
Seems like most boneyards that have a large inventory will sell the worst of the worst first and hold on to the good stuff as long as they can.
Memory Lane:TU: On my second deaking with them they sent the wrong gas tank for my brother's 71 Grand Prix, but we used it any way.
Memory Lane. No biggie. They sent me exact "high trim level" buckets for my 69. Couldn't be happier. Should be recovered this fall, but I didn't have the correct buckets to begin with. At least now I can peel off the correct old original covers to have exact duplicates made. If it wouldn't cost a fortune I'd buy a hood from them, but shipping would be a problem.
Yes. Several years ago I bought a quarter from them. 2 months later I still received no quarter. These jerks would'nt know customer service if it impaled them in the eye socket. So I called Hemmings and filed a complaint. (You CAN do that you know, they advertise in Hemmings and Hemmings does not like dead beat advertisers). Hemmings was awesome. They sent a formal letter to DVAP and suddenly the quarter shipped. What a friggin miracle huh? I might add, what Hemmings tells them in the letter is that if they cannot resolve the problem they will be removed from their publication. No ifs ands or "butts". :moonu: :TU:
Has anyone noticed that Kepich Exhaust has been removed from the Bugle? At least I didn't see their ad in there last month anyway. I wonder if these guys are somehow related? :Brow:
I called Desert Valley to see if they had some body parts. They said they required a credit card before they would even look to see if they have the parts in stock. Anyone else experienced this? Is this practice common?
