I have replaced my holey to a Quadrajet and realizing that there are several original parts missing. Not sure how it works, just read that I help the engine going back to idle RPM? I found the parts in a box. Do I want to install them?
When the throttle closes quickly, the mixture can go overly rich. The dashpot cushions the throttle closing to prevent stalling from the mixture change. Do you want to install one? My guess is you want to, but I doubt you need it.
