I can't stand the auto power lock function on my 96 Roadmaster wagon.

    How do you disable/reprogram?

On my 98 Regal the owners manual had instructions but they don't work on the 96.

    Bruce,
It should be the key in the "ON" position, source button or program button, go to auto door lock, set in "OFF" position . I sold those Dam cars new , but old age has got the best of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if it is the same, but on our '98 LeSabre you hold down the ENG/MET button for 5 seconds to program the Driver Preferences. (You can set that differently for driver 1 vs. driver 2)

are you talking about when you shift out of park into drive and it locks the doors ?

I dont think you can get away from that

on a 93 (your year might be different) roadmaster, you access the wire harness at the rear of the car near the drivers side storage compartment.
the wire is black w/white stripe hanging near the taillight sockets (see picture).
other pics tell the instructions on programming remotes and disabling the auto lock feature.
    Good Luck!!:TU:
