Its been 3 months since I tore this 350 down and don't have access to the intake manifolds. The dipstick tube is in 2 sections and cant seem to find what the upper section connected to? Was it attached to the stock manifolds? and with headers what do I do? Thanks

i got one from TA for my 68 350 that actually bolts to the block below the exhaust ports, clears headers fine.

Theres a bolt and a threaded boss on the block.
Its kinda tough to see with the headers on

Yeah, there is a bolt hole lower on the block and the lower bracket is bolted there. TA makes a one piece dipstick tube that uses that lower bolt only for just this reason. Thanks

The factory two piece dipstick bolted on the block (bottom) and on the exhaust manifold head shield with a teeny tiny screw. And you already know about the 1 piece deal.
