Did Poston Buick go out of Business???

    Did Poston Buick go out of business? Their website is up but their 800 phone number has been disconnected. :Do No:

    I think someone posted a couple weeks ago that they had been bought out. Probably just haven't gotten around to updating the we site.

    Called their non toll free number and they answered. Changing carriers on toll free line

    I called the 800 number earlier this week to check on the status of an order. They answered the phone (said they were sill waiting on my part from supplier).

    I was told they are updating there catalog and they are running behind , I also orderd some parts from them and nothing a week later , But did get tp ta;lk to a live body :)

    Does anyone have a working phone number for them. Trying to check on parts ordered back in December.

    does anyone have the non 800 number for them? i ordered a rear oil pump pickup for the 430 going in my 66 special. that is the only thing holding me up. ta performance has them backordered.

    Yes, I have a local number. I had to put a hold on my credit card transaction because I couldn't contact them. I received a call from them yesterday and I have contact information. (251) 368-8577 E-mail Jennifer@postonbuick I informed them that their website only has the disconnected phone number listed. They said that it will be fixed.

    Poston has been great for me over the years. I have not gone over to read the Turbo boards issues. I will have to go read it.

    One thing I know is they have had the same catalog since about the 80's. I ordered a new catalog last year and it looks the same as the one I had from, the mid 90's.

    Its now July,2009.. there 800 number is still down and no one answer the reg phone number... I think there out of business..

    dont bother trying to buy anything from them because seems like everything you order your credit card is billed and you are lucky to get it in 2 months. i am currently stuck with a rear spoiler that is 1 inch too narrow and at least half inch short in height. and miss jennifer says send it back at my expense and she will give money back.... yeah maybe next year or never since its been over 60 days and credit card co says im screwed. so BEWARE OF POSTON THEY ARE NOT THE VENDOR. THEY WERE A YEAR AGO.:af: :mad:

    FWIW, when I call I immediately ask for Tony....if he's at lunch or out, I leave a message for him to return my call....he always does, and my orders are always right....it has been a year or so since I've ordered from them, though......

    Tony no longer works for Poston's , I talked with his wife , she was still there when I taked with her. They have a new owner that is trying to save the business from the mess made by the last owner .

    All I know is I have had a distributor on order for three months....they have my $140.00 but I do not have a dristributor yet.... called them again two weeks ago... they took my phone number but I have not heard back.... not a good way of keeping customers...

    With all the negative posts about them,over the last 2-3 years,why are you guys still gambling on getting anything out of the place? Use the the recomended vendors on the board that are proven & have many,many positive comments!!:Do No:

    :confused: I am trying to get an engine finished up for a summer school class for my 1968 Buick Skylark Custom (350) and ordered lots of parts from Poston's in early June. it took a week and half to get them to give me an estimate of time turn around and also S/H charges for overnite delivery. I did get about 1/2 of the order, but have been in limbo since. I had to send back the piston's ordered as the machine shop got carried away with work and set it at 6 over instead of 4--did talk to someone at the 251 number about July 1 and they had received them but still haven't gotten new ones yet. And rocker arm assemblies are still not in. I can not get any response to calls, emails to a hotmail acct (which is what the answering machine said the one time before it quick taking messages) and now email is bouncing back at that address. So I am having my credit card co step-in :pray: . In the meantime I still need to finish this engine--any one know of good place to get stock rocker arm assemblies and 6 over pistons/rings?? Thanks,
