OZGS455 Oh what a wonderful day!

With the Auto Spectacular on today at Willowbank Raceway, a huge car and bike show, all makes and models.
Also the dragstrip is open and for an extra $30 over the $10 admission to the show.
Decided to leave my ET Streets at home and see how she ran on the 7 yrs old BF Goodrich Radial T/A's,
You don't need to be Einstein to know there'd be a lack of traction!
Right from the first pass the car was very loose and all over the place

Next run I decided to take it easy down the strip but fry the tyres in the water

Holding it on just under 3000rpm and she was making good smoke!

I spied a nice '70 Challenger and tried to end up alongside in the staging lanes, but it wasnt happening, it was very close to end of session when I pulled up at the tower alongside and suggested we run together on the track, the cars being of similar era, this guy was a total novice and also on street rubber.
Being the last run of the day I held it in the water till I could barely see anything but smoke then eased out.
Smoked and spun a bit out of the hole but got ahead of the 440 and held him at bay.

Times were slow with lousy 60foots but speeds of 98mph at the finish.
    Lots of fun was had!
and at the end of the day my left rear was down to the treadwear indicators, and the right rear not far behind it.
