    Here's the cowl tags

    Here's the one on my car. EDIT - I know what all the codes mean except for the "R" in the lower left corner and the "2" in the lower right.

    I can't believe this thread is still alive. I just looked through it again and this must have been one of my very first posts. I started the thread the day I got my 67 which is my first Buick. That was March 2003...this thread is almost 2 years old. The information is terrific. The decoding provided in this thread matches exactly to the options on my car. I'll say it again. There's a whole bunch of awesome people on V8. :TU:
    Thanks to all of you.

    Everyone, Great Info Here, Thanks

    Great info here. Thanks to everyone for contributing. My 67 decodes perfectly with the codes listed.

    BTW, Duane (or anyone) what month of the previous year did Fisher start putting out the new bodies? I think someone had 08C for their 67 and it was built in 66? Just curious if they went from a certain month in the year or not.

    The reason you did not get a response is that you needed to start your own thread rather than tap on to someone else's but here is cut at the decode:

    44667 = 2 door gran sport convert.

    FL = Flint --plant of manf.

    209349 = Fisher body sequence number

    A-2 = Regal black body paint with a Black convert top

    Tr 29 = ?? you left off a number or I am missing this code

    2L = 4 speed trans

    5Y = Deluxe seat belts

    w = tinted windshield ??

    The Acessory codes are something that I do no have except I recall the 2 LE may be in part for the 4 speed trans. and 5 y are the seat belts, but you need to verify that with others as I could be mistaken.

    Nice car.

    The picture of the body plate shows W (tinted windshield) 2L (4 speeds)
    I don't know what the "E" stands for, maybe it's for the storage console? In 1967, it was for the manual a/c but I know it wasn't for that in 1966.
    I think that the 5Y is for the "deluxe seatbelts".

    This site shows a few codes for Chevelles. Some of them are the same for Buicks (and full size Buicks too)

    Shamone,
    Is it possible to write out the codes on the large Fisher Body Inspection sheet that are hidden under the black areas. Some of the writing is very hard to read, and I am sure it is much clearer on the original.

    And could you take a picture of the other side of the sheet.

    I decode quite a few different buildsheets and would like to add this information to my library.
    Thanks.

    Shamone,
    Thank you for listing everything, it really helps.

    The reason I asked for a picture of the other side is because I thought there was some information there. The later years, 69-72, have the options that actually came on the car printed on the reverse side. I didn't know the 66 sheets were blank.

    Again, thanks for the help.
