Well here she is as i bought her for 1200. Let me know if I've just wasted the cash.
69 Skylark 99,386 miles. Rusted fenders, dented doors. I'm the third owner, first owner outside their family.

I would like to take the side trim off and go with white with black top possibly vinyl cover. Then black interior.

Anyways hope to document the progress here. Let me know what you think...

I think that's a nice foundation to start with.

I think you made a bad choice and should just sell it to me for $1200.

Seriously, nice deal. Perfect driver and no a/c. My kind of car. Unless you plan on taking the car down to the shell, I'd consider painting it the original color. You'd be surprised how new paint can make that color more appealing. Either way, looking forward to seeing your progress.

hey for $1200 you'd be hard pressed to find a beater import for a daily driver!
I think I paid $1000 for my first '67 and drove it as is, and it was waaaaaaay rustier than yours looks. :)

Please list the numbers on the trim tag next to the PNT as I am curious if this is a painted roof car- looks like trumpet gold body with ? antique gold roof?? The small amount of rot can be an easy fix...

Parchment is a very nice, light interior. Would take it over pearl white. You also have a fold down arm rest.. Which is a MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE seat than buckets!!! Good score for the money!!

Just a personal preference on these old cars. I like seeing the motor more than a heavy a/c compressor and that ugly fiberglass box bolted to the firewall. Much more simple.

Here is apic of the vin plate. 65 77 are the numbers by pnt. Can anybody decipher the whole thing for me? I haven't searched yet but thought I'd ask.

Well you guys are probably gonna chastise me on this, but below are some pictures of my progress. Since it's not a real special car i thought i could mod it a little to my liking.

Got a new headliner in, seat covers should be here tomorrow, gotta order carpet then get a quote on the body work, hoping to go white with black top, possibly vinyl top. depending on that price hope to have it ready by spring.

Had to take the rear window out, it was pretty rusted looks like someone used a 55 gallon drum of silicone to seal it and still didn't work.

Future plans are to get a 4 barrel intake and carb, maybe add a posi rearend if i can find one around but that's more fun type stuff rather than making it pretty again.

Think you did real good. Have all kinds off parts for her. Have same color seat that needs to be recovered also. Have right year 4 barrel intake and carb(stock). Also a black steering wheel if you are changing interior color.

Dave, what would you want to get on the intake and carb shipped? Just a general idea on shipping would be fine, I know it's not a light piece of material.

    Thanks
