I have a DashSkin cover for the dash in my 72 Skylark. It doesn't seem to fit right. The pad is out of the car and everything is removed from it. The front (facing the driver) fits pretty well with some pressure to make sure it is on all the way. Fit looks good and snug. The rear side (facing the windshield) doesn't seem to fit right. The cap is molded with a little step down that appears to be made to go around the end of the dash pan and fit down flush to the metal dashboard and make everything smooth. On mine, it seems that the DashSkin is a little too short to do the wraparound of the pad. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to trim the pad to allow for the correct fit? I am baffled right now. Thanks for some help. Lou
Thanks for the help. I studied that thread before I bought the DashCap.I didn't learn anything new from reading it again but I did find some help from a similar thread below. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?224275-who-has-used-repro-oem-type-dash-pad-overlay-cover It is about a Parts Place cap and it was noted the cap was about 3/16" short. I guess I will have to see if the original cap can be trimmed or something. Lou
