Dash wiring harness sources?

    I need to replace my dash wiring in my 71 Skylark and have a used harness but would prefer a new one if I can find one that is not made of gold. Do they all go for approximately $500.00? It seems a bit steep for a dash wiring harness.

    15945 1971 with gauges $535.00 from M&H.

    Funny but I can save a few bucks on an American Autowire harness by not purchasing directly from them. I have an American Autowire engine harness and it was right on too, just plug and play.
