OMG! Do they take credit cards?! That's just one of the reasons I'm staying on this side of the pond!
Several years ago we were in France with another couple. My wife paid the meter, went in, and when she came out her girlfriend went in while the door was open without paying. Unbeknownst to us it does a wash cycle after use. So the lights go out and it goes into the wash cycle. Needless to say her girlfriend was quite upset.
Sure are different than the ones in Paris in 1969. I wonder if you get your shoes TAGGED while inside as well. ws
Europeans are less hung up on things like this then we prudes on this side of the pond. We discovered several public bathrooms in Austria, Germany, and France where they had a full-time attendant who kept the place clean and stocked. The attendant worked for tips (at the time they expected a "donation" of about .25 US per person using the facility. The attendant was not necessarily the same sex as the users.
I've been to a concert where a (clearly intoxicated) young lady ran into the mens room, dropped trow, and hopped up on a sink to take a wee because the line to the ladies room was too long. Does that count? For the record, I was washing my hands in the sink directly adjacent and she struck up a conversation with me during the "act". That was interesting....
Nothing beats China with their Squatty Potty's........... Went to China several years ago. The wife comes back from the John at the airport with a YOU WON"T BELIEVE THIS.
Fred, I guess I will never go there. My knees aren’t that flexible. I also heard they have women cleaning the urinals right next to you. Think nothing of it.
